“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”(Luke 12:25 NLT) The answer is no! Worrying does nothing productive for your life. It’s useless, diminishes your value and blinds you from focusing on your worth. Your worth is your calling, gift, or purpose in life. We all have special gifts that were bestowed upon us at the time of our births. “It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.” (1 Corinthians 12:11 NLT) “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” (1 Peter 4:10 NLT)
Do you know what your gift is? If not, that’s what you should be focusing on. Your time and energy should be spent figuring out what your God given gift is. What are you talented at? What thing(s) do you do well? What comes naturally to you? Those are the questions you should be asking God. Those are the things that should cloud your mind. Your energy needs to be spent on nurturing, cultivating and manifesting your gift. “For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.” (Romans 11:29 NLT)
Worrying about how or when things are going to happen for you does nothing but add unnecessary stress and devalues your time spent here on earth. “And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?” (Luke 12:26 NLT) There’s no use in worrying or stressing yourself to death. Things happen when they are meant to happen. No amount of energy can force things to happen if God does not want them to occur. All things, all of creation, is designed by His power.
““Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?”(Luke 12:27-28 NLT)
Don’t focus on what’s to come, the problems you’re having or what’s not happening right now in your life. What can you control? Focus more on building & strengthening your inner self. Try something new. Be kind to yourself. Read more. Pray daily. Do things that make you smile. Love yourself wholeheartedly. You may be in a transitional stage of life, but you are exactly where God needs you to be. You are going through things because you are meant to go through them. We encounter tests because they are meant to turn into lessons. As with school, the lessons are taught to help us learn. We learn so that we can grow into better versions of ourselves. Our lives were predestined long before we decided to take the pen and rewrite our life’s journey. You were designed to encounter everything you’ve been through because you alone have the strength, courage and ability to endure it. It’s all designed to make you a better, stronger person.
““So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:34 NLT) “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.” (Luke 12:31 NLT)
I pray that you come to God with a sincere heart. I pray that He hears your pleas & acknowledges your cries. I pray He shows you what your God given gifts are. While you wait on Him to move in your life, I pray that you focus more on the positive things like growing, learning and nurturing your relationship with God instead of the stressful things in your life. May He show you who you really are. I ask that Christ shows you the way by granting you the knowledge and the tools you need to succeed. May He give you all of the desires of your heart and may everything be done in a way that is pleasing to His Kingdom. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
Sincerely with love,
