I’m so grateful for what God is doing in my life. I’m so blessed to have gone through the things I’ve encountered because God still has me here, alive thriving, surviving and getting better than ever. There’s so much joy in my heart that people just don’t understand.
I just got the best news of this confirmation today from an old friend. I hadn’t spoke to this friend in quite some time; yet they felt the need to call and “check up on me.” Isn’t it funny how the Devil works?! I wasn’t on this person’s radar for months, no care in the world to see how I was doing; yet now all of a sudden, they want to be concerned with how I’m doing. So this friend proceeded to say to me, “You seem different. What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong? You’ve changed!” Ohhh what a blessing it was to receive that word!!! Let me tell you How wonderful God is! This old friend was expecting me to still be broken and a sad, lost cause. They were expecting me to still need them and their validation for my life. Yet when they didn’t get it, all of a sudden there’s “concern.” Oh but what joy I had upon my face. Such a big smile God plastered across it. Such joy I had in my heart as I listened to them try to figure out why I’m not in that same old spirit anymore.
So why did this person sense a difference in me, you may ask? Because I HAVE CHANGED! God has been working on me diligently and He (nor I) didn’t put up with all the crap I went through to be the same person I was back then. I’ve grown! I’ve learned! I’ve matured! And I’ve moved on! No longer do the things that once bothered me get under my skin. No longer am I dwelling and stuck in the same sad, grieving, confused, angry, depressed and bitter mindset that I once was in. No longer do I see things as I once did. So yes, my response to that person is the same as to anybody that may ask or inquire, YES, I HAVE CHANGED!!!
That’s the beauty in silencing the mayhem around you, getting alone with God and allowing Him to work on and through you. That’s what happens when you trust God’s guidance and not your own. Your life becomes a testimony of how in spite of all your mess, HE STEPPED IN AND CHANGED YOU!!!
Do you want to be changed?!?! Now that IS the question. If you truly want to be changed, then let Him change you. If you want to have pure joy in your heart, the kind of joy you can’t even explain, then Let Him provide it for you. If He did it for me, He can do it for you. How? By, turning to God! Let Him use you. Pray often about everything, read and study His Word, open up your mouth and mind and speak to Him. Keep that cycle going. You can’t expect God to turn things around for you if you only come to Him once in a blue moon. With all relationships, it takes pure time, dedication and hard work.
Yes, everyday holds a possibility of a miracle. Yes, God is All-Powerful and All-Mighty, but He’s also a jealous God too. You can’t be sometimey with God. You can’t half-step God. You either have to be all in or not at all. As Jesus said in the Bible, ““No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” (Matthew 6:24 NLT)
So choose your God wisely! Once you decide to truly give your life AND all of your cares and burdens to God, He will give you rest. “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)
So dedicate your life to God, sit back and WATCH how He CHANGES LIVES!!! Trust me when I tell you, He truly changed mine. I pray for you today who reads this personal testimony of mine. May you be encouraged and motivated to turn all your cares, worries, concerns and whole life to God. May you allow Him to work on you and through you. May you be sucked into His true goodness that you never want to let go of His light. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
Sincerely with love,
