“Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.”(1 Peter 4:11 NLT)
We all have a gift. These gifts are things that we’re good at. They come easily and naturally to us. Usually your gift is something that you use everyday with ease. Are you a good cook? Are you super helpful to anyone who asks / doesn’t ask? Are you good at giving advice? Are you good at cutting hair? Your job is to figure it out, tap into it and use it wisely to better yourself. So, what do people say you’re good at?
God has blessed me with the gift of writing and empathy. I use my writing skills to heal myself and help others by telling stories. I use empathy to deeply understand and care for all things living. By tapping into my natural gifts, I’m able to give great advice and be a supportive shoulder to cry on. I may be weak when it comes to the crisis of people but I am strong enough to endure them with ease.
So, make a list of the things you do well. If you need help figuring it out, ask someone what they think you’re good at. Make sure what they tell you is positive for our gifts are just like presents, it’s something that brings a smile whenever it is given.
Whatever your gift is, use it to better yourself, your circumstances and hopefully help someone else in need. I believe that if you utilize what you’re naturally good at everyday, you’ll find peace, happiness and substance in your daily life.
I pray that you take a second today to figure out your gift. Use it and allow it be a blessing not only to yourself but to others. I pray that God makes it clear for you and you allow yourself to fully tap into and embrace it from this day forth. In Jesus name, Amen.
Sincerely with love,
